The best way out is always through.
You’ve seen the Netflix series, the films, and the documentaries. Maybe you’ve even seen these scenarios in your own life.
War heroes. Exuberant creators. Powerful attorneys. Ivy league grads at the top of their class. Suddenly, they’re not themselves anymore. It’s as if they’ve transformed overnight, their personalities contrasting between Jekyll and Hyde. One minute they’re fine - the next they’re angry. They’re experiencing anxiety, sweaty palms, racing heartbeat, flashbacks, and nightmares.
They’re feeling isolated and disconnected from the people they love, yet they’re refusing invitations to go out with their friends. They seem to be always looking over their shoulder, clenching their fists and teeth, as if they’re waiting for something terrible to happen.
I understand, and I’m here to help.
I specialize in therapy for childhood trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) occurs after a range of situations and experiences.
My experience with trauma and PTSD includes military service (both non-combat and combat positions), mass violence, abusive relationships, child sexual abuse, sexual assault, grief and loss, and medical trauma.
I can help you recover from these painful experiences. Whether you experienced a tragedy or you’ve been suffering a long time, you will find a safe space for healing and transformation in therapy.
WORK WITH ME
I can help you heal and move forward.
Trauma therapy begins with helping you feel deeply supported, heard, and validated, while challenging some unhelpful patterns causing you to feel stuck. Together, we will find ways to help you stay grounded, sleep better, boost your self-esteem, and enhance your relationships.
In psychotherapy, you can expect to learn deeper aspects of yourself that you may have been hidden away. I’m here to help you move out of survival mode and unlock that part of yourself.
You can break free and breathe again.
HOW IT WORKS
We’ll start where you are
Book an appointment and choose a time that works for you. Prior to your first appointment, you’ll need to read, sign, and submit the patient forms.
01
We’ll make a plan of action
When we meet for your first appointment, we’ll talk about your decision to start therapy. You’ll have a chance to talk about what you need and what you want to change. Then, we’ll discuss how therapy can help you achieve your goals.
02
We’ll take it one step at a time
We’ll meet once a week for 45-50 minutes. We’ll also review your progress and discuss how therapy is going. We will discuss and make any adjustments if the need arises.
