secure attachment builds healthy communities.
I am passionate about helping others create healthy, fulfilling relationships, and helping one another at home and in the community. That’s why I became an attachment therapist and founded my private practice, Calm Science. When we heal, we improve our relationships with others, generating love and support throughout our families and community. One person can have an impact on many, and everyone deserves to be supported, appreciated, and loved.
my story.
I graduated with my master’s degree in mental health counseling and I have worked with children, teens, adults, and parents in community mental health agencies for the last ten years. I completed my clinical practicum at a non-profit agency specializing in trauma treatment and assessment with children and military families. After moving to Las Vegas, I completed my assessment practicum at a pediatric neuropsychology clinic specializing in assessment of autism spectrum disorders (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning and intellectual disabilities, and fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD). I returned to a teaching/mentoring role when I became an approved clinical supervisor for graduate students counseling, social work, and marriage and family therapy students and interns. Currently, I am completing my doctoral internship in southern California.
When I’m not seeing patients and clients, you can find me engaged in creative arts, spending time in nature, and enjoying time with family (including our many pets). For the last six years, I have been training in aikido, dubbed by its founder as “the art of peace.” Before I became a therapist, my life involved a lot of theatre, singing, and dancing, and my plan was to be a jazz singer.
